Delete your InboxFold account

This page explains how to delete your account and data in InboxFold: School Emails on Google Play, made by Four Sprouts (Four Sprouts LLC).

You can delete your account in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app.

Option 1: in the app

  1. Open InboxFold.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom. Under Danger zone (tap it to open it if it is closed), tap Delete account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm, and tap Permanently Delete Account.

When it is done, you are signed out and taken back to the sign-in screen.

Option 2: by email (no app needed)

  1. Send an email to support@inboxfold.app.
  2. Send it from the Gmail address you use with InboxFold, so we know the request is yours.
  3. Use the subject "Delete my InboxFold account".

We reply to that Gmail address to check that the request is yours. Once you confirm, we delete your account and email you when it is done, within 30 days of your request. If you write from a different address, we will ask you to send the request from your InboxFold Gmail address.

Also remove InboxFold's access to your Gmail (optional)

Deleting your account asks Google to remove InboxFold's access. You can also remove it yourself at any time:

  1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  2. Choose InboxFold.
  3. Remove its access.

Email checks then stop, because Google no longer lets InboxFold read your Gmail. This does not delete what InboxFold already saved (including its now-unusable Gmail access key), so also delete your account.

Removing the app is not enough

Email checks run on our server. If you only uninstall the app, checks continue for up to 14 days, and your data and InboxFold's Gmail access stay. Please delete your account.

What is deleted

Only InboxFold's data is deleted. Your emails stay in your Gmail, and events you added to your calendar stay in your calendar. InboxFold never changes or deletes email.

If you delete by email, or use InboxFold on more than one phone, sign out or remove the app on those phones to clear the copy saved there.
